CBS DETROIT - The Detroit Lions have signed their first-round pick Laken Tomlinson, the team announced Thursday morning.
The Lions selected Tomlinson, a guard from Duke, with the 28th overall pick. By trading down from the 23rd spot, Detroit also acquired a veteran guard, Manny Ramirez, in the process.
Tomlinson is expected to be a starter for the Lions, who elected not re-sign free agent veteran guard Rob Sims this offseason.
The Lions now have all seven of their 2015 draft picks under contract.
