Lions' Lineman A Hit In Chrysler Commercial
AUBURN HILLS (WWJ) - Chrysler is using Detroit Lion Ndamukong Suh to help it launch the all new version of the Chrysler 300 big car. Suh is featured in one of the high profile commercials for the vehicle's.
Suh, an defensive lineman became a fan favorite last year, and took home NFL Rookie of Year honors.
The commercial stays with Chrysler's "Imported from Detroit" theme as Suh drives through his hometown of Portland, Oregon. With cloudy skies, and a light drizzle, Portland looks as gritty as Detroit does in Chrysler's now legendary Super Bowl Commercial.
Along with Suh, Chrysler is doing commercials featuring record producer, artist and entrepreneur Dr. Dre™ and New York fashion designer John Varvatos.
"The individuals in these commercials represent more than success stories," said Olivier Francois, President and CEO, Chrysler Brand and Lead Executive, Marketing, Chrysler Group LLC, in a statement. "They represent a brand of determination that Detroit has come to stand for. These are true stories of people who worked hard and are now able to enjoy the luxury they deserve; and luxury feels better earned. These three individuals define the target customer for the all-new 2011 Chrysler 300."
Chrysler has totally redone the Chrysler 300 for the 2011 model year. It's the vehicle's first major update since its debut in 2004.
