Charlie Langton: Detroit Lawmaker Has Surprise Connection To Conrad Murray
State Rep. Jimmy Womack, D-Detroit, visited Charlie Langton's morning show on 1270 Talk Radio to discuss his push for a Detroit lottery.
In the middle of the interview, Langton shot an arrow into the dark and hit a surprise target when Womack, a retired anesthesiologist, revealed that Michael Jackson's doctor, Conrad Murray, was his classmate. Murray was sentenced earlier this week to four years in prison for administering a dose of the powerful sedative Propofol to Jackson, causing the pop superstar's death.
So, does Womack think justice was served?
"He should have been given a maximum sentence," the state representative said.
And what does he think of the medical performance of the man who was two years behind him in medical school?
"I feel bad that the whole situation occurred, but I did have a question mark as to why that medication was being administered, certainly at the home," Womack said. "You should have monitoring."
