ST. CLAIR SHORES (WWJ) -- KNS Technologies Corp., an IT products and services provider based in Herndon, Va., announced it has opened an office in St. Clair Shores.
Company officials said they'd been studying the positive stories about Detroit's tech economy for some time and were particularly influenced by key production data indicating the comeback of the United States auto industry.
Having touched 16.4 million in 2002, vehicle production had fallen to an abysmal 8.6 million in 2009 and it's been a slow and hard climb since then. However, the output in 2013 is forecast to surpass 16 million units or the first time in more than a decade.
