It's not over yet!
*Ignoring a slight technicality, it's not over yet!
Jim Bob Cooter, originally nominated for President by a fan with a beat-up van and subsequently endorsed by Golden Tate, is gaining steam in the polls.
On Tuesday, one person cast a write-in vote for Cooter. (The corresponding photo has since been deleted at the voter's request.)
The issue for Cooter isn't that he may not have time to run the country while calling plays for the Lions. And it's not that his candidacy remains a regional fancy.
(Although, for what it's worth, Jim Caldwell said Cooter "would get the Southern states. That's for sure.")
It's that one must be 35 years old to run for President of the United States. Cooter is 32.
