Inge Goes 2-5 With Mud Hens
Brandon Inge went 2-for-5 for Class AAA Toledo on Thursday in the first game of a rehab assignment. He is tentatively expected to remain with Toledo through Detroit's six-game interleague trip to Colorado and Los Angeles. Inge has been on the disabled list with mononucleosis. He served as a designated hitter Thursday night, but he could soon resume playing in the field. "I'm excited to be back," Inge said. "It's been good hitting these last few days because I know I need to go get some swings (in the minors). I have to let my body adjust to the daily grind. It's a different kind of tired."
