Southwest Michigan First adds members to team: Southwest Michigan First recently added two members to its nationally recognized, award-winning team. Kevin McLeod joins the organization as vice president of Southwest Michigan First and has been named managing director of the Michigan Medical Device Accelerator. Tim Terrentine will fill the role of associate vice president of Southwest Michigan First. McLeod brings more than 17 years of medical device expertise with a strong focus on global strategic product development and marketing to the team of Southwest Michigan First. At Southwest Michigan First, McLeod will be responsible for the commercialization, financial management, intellectual property protection, talent acquisition and operational administration of the Michigan Medical Device Accelerator. Prior to joining Southwest Michigan First, the expanse of McLeod's industry experience centered on Stryker Corp., where he contributed in a variety of roles, most recently serving as senior director of global strategic development. McLeod is a graduate of Hope College and Parchment High School. Terrentine joins the Southwest Michigan First team to partner with existing companies in Southwest Michigan on their expansion, retention and job creation efforts. Previously, Terrentine served as executive director of the Douglass Community Association in Kalamazoo, where he led new collaborative efforts, resulting in hundreds of additional opportunities for empowerment in the community, including the addition in 2008 of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Kalamazoo on site. Stryker Announces Election of New Director: Kalamazoo-based Stryker Corp. (NYSE: SYK) announced an increase in the size of its Board of Directors to nine and the election of Roch Doliveux as a director. Doliveux has served since 2005 as CEO and chairman of the executive committee of UCB S.A., a global biopharmaceutical company. Doliveux has previously been CEO of Pierre Fabre Pharmaceuticals and president of Schering-Plough International, a subsidiary of Schering-Plough Corp. Doliveux holds a master's degree in business from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France. He also holds a Ph.D. in veterinary medicine from Ecole Nationale Veterinaire d'Alfort, Maisons-Alfort, France.
