Grand Blanc Student Wins Michigan Geographic Bee
KALAMAZOO (AP) — A student from Genesee County has won the Michigan Geographic Bee and will represent the state at the national finals in May.
Shriya Yarlagadd attends Grand Blanc East Middle School in Grand Blanc. Neha Middela of Detroit Country Day School in Beverly Hills finished second, followed by Mike Moore of University of Detroit Jesuit Academy in Detroit.
There were 101 students from fourth grade through eighth grade competing Friday at Western Michigan University.
