Gov.-elect Snyder To Name Appointees Monday

Michigan Gov.-elect Rick Snyder is set to name some new members of his administration. Transition spokesman Bill Nowling would not comment Friday on who might be named or what positions will be filled.

But he said it's likely Snyder will announce two appointments during an 11 a.m. Monday news conference at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Snyder lives in nearby in Washtenaw County's Superior Township. He beat Virg Bernero on Tuesday, named his transition team leaders Wednesday and launched a transition website Thursday. He'll be sworn into office Jan. 1.
