Believe it or not, making a half court shot isn't as hard as it seems -- but doing it in front of fans increases the difficulty level exponentially.

Making a half court shot when a chance for $500 is at stake also raises the level of difficulty.

Gonzaga had a contest for a fan to make a half court shot and the kid nailed the shot. Well, he didn't exactly nail it. When he shot the ball, he really wasn't anywhere close at all.

In fact, he hit the top of the backboard with the shot. The ball deflected above the basket and just happened to drop right into the hoop.

I think $500 is a little on the cheap end for hitting the shot, but to each his own.
