Getting Your Car Winter Ready
BERKLEY (WWJ) - Sure, the weather's great now, but this is Michigan, where it can turn cold and ugly in a heartbeat. Is your car ready for the ravages of winter?
John Bures, owner-operator of Northern Auto Repairs in Berkley, tells WWJ Newsradio 950's Paul Snider that the average American car is now 11 years old, the oldest fleet ever.
That means business is booming at his shop.
Bures says batteries, exhaust systems, tire pressure, wipers and antifreeze are the biggest impediments to keeping your car humming along through the winter months.
You want to make sure your brakes are in good working order as well, and your heater and defroster are operational.
