Getting To The Thanksgiving Parade With DDOT Parking Shuttles, People Mover
Park your vehicles and ride a Detroit Department of Transportation (DDOT) shuttle bus to America's Thanksgiving Parade on Thursday, Nov. 28, starting at 7 a.m. Riding a DDOT shuttle will ease the stress of heavy traffic delays and eliminate costly parking fees.
The bus fare is $2 for adults each way, $1 for 18 and younger each way and free for children under age 5, 44 inches tall.
Park and Ride locations include Eastland Mall, Fairlane Mall and Northland Mall.
The shuttles will run approximately every 20 minutes at mall locations as follows 7 a.m. to 9 a.m and 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The People Mover
The Detroit People Mover opens at 6 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day to accommodate visitors and families attending the Thanksgiving Day races, parade and the Lions game.
People Mover service will run until 7 p.m. on Nov. 28 and return to its regular schedule on Friday, November 29. Fare to ride the People Mover is 75 cents. Children ages five and under ride free.
DDOT will operate a Sunday schedule on Thanksgiving Day for all regular routes at regular fares.
