Ex-Tigers Broadcaster Paul Carey Released From Hospital
DETROIT (WWJ) - Longtime former Detroit Tigers play-by-play broadcaster Paul Carey has been released from the hospital.
Officials tell WWJ that Carey left Troy Beaumont Hospital, Friday. His wife told the Detroit Free Press that the 82-year-old had a heart attack on Wednesday and an operation to put a stent in his heart.
Carey worked alongside legendary Tiger broadcaster Ernie Harwell from 1973-91.
