Event Notices From July 3-4

MichBio Sets BioMixer: MichBio, the state's trade organization for biotech companies, has scheduled its next BioMixer for Monday, July 30 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hylant Group, 24 Frank Lloyd Wright Drive, Suite J4100, Ann Arbor. Light hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be served at the free event. Downtown Detroit Business Mixer Set: The Detroit-based marketing firm One Detroit Network and various local sponsors will host an event to promote retaining, sustaining, and increasing business in downtown Detroit. The goal of the event is to connect major Detroit corporations with smaller businesses to learn about and support each other, share resources, and more. All media is invited to attend, as well as business leadership interested in connecting with other local companies. The event will be held Wednesday, July 11 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the M@dison Building, 1555 Broadway, Detroit. The event is hosted by One Detroit Network and sponsored by Quicken Loans, Bedrock Real Estate Services, Compuware, Somerset CityLoft, and Brinker Group. If downtown businesses would like to share marketing materials in "goodie bags" to be given away to attendees, businesses may drop off materials at the M@dison Building from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, July 9. Please provide enough materials for the anticipated 300 guests. Businesses should confirm attendance by 5 p.m. on Monday, July 9 by emailing thea.white@onedetroitnetwork.com. Parking is available in the Detroit Opera House parking structure at 1426 Broadway St.
