Network with fellow members at Automation Alley Summer BBQs in Troy and Southfield: Summertime hospitality and networking mix at Automation Alley's upcoming summer BBQs. Automation Alley, Michigan's largest technology business association, invites all members to step out of the office and enjoy a catered barbeque lunch while meeting and mingling with other members. Two lunchtime Automation Alley Summer BBQs are scheduled: July 31 at Automation Alley Headquarters in Troy and August 9 at Eat to the Beat at Southfield City Centre. New members are encouraged to attend, as Automation Alley staff will be on hand to introduce fellow members who can lead to new business connections, prospects and partnerships. The Automation Alley event runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at 2675 Bellingham in Troy. The second BBQ is set for Aug. 9 at Southfield City Centre from noon to 2 p.m. Join Automation Alley and the City of Southfield for Eat to the Beat, networking while enjoying lunch and the music of Detroit Music Award-winning artists The Brothers Groove, a blend of Detroit funk, hipster jazz and rock. Southfield City Centre is located on Central Park Boulevard, a block west of Evergreen Road in Southfield. Both events are open to Automation Alley members only. There is no cost to attend, but seating is limited. Pre-registration is required; walk-in registration is not available. For the July 31 BBQ in Troy, registration closes July 27. For the August 9 BBQ at Southfield City Centre, registration will close August 6. At the Southfield event, registered attendees will check in to receive a wristband for access to the catering tent.
