DSO Musicians Vote on Latest Contract Proposal
Striking members of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra are voting today on the latest contract proposal from the orchestra.
The results of that vote should be announced later this afternoon. Symphony officials say it's their final offer, but musicians' spokesman Hayden McKay, speaking live on W-W-J, says he hopes something will be worked out.
"Depending on the outcome of the vote, either way, we're certainly hoping to end the strike & get back on stage at Orchestra Hall. If the offer from management is turned down, we certainly hope we can work out remaining details at the table."
The DSO says depending on what happens -- it'll then make a decision about what to do with the rest of it's season. Musicians have been on strike since October.
