Power Trip

The Magic Stick hasn't converted completely yet to an all-electronic venue, so don't miss Detroit rock 'n' rollers Easy Action and Build & Destroy as they take the stage alongside punk-metal group Power Trip. Garage-rockabilly Detroit band The Ruiners will be celebrating their own Rick Ruiner's birthday this Friday night with a live show at the Lager House. The biker-bubble gum rockabilly sounds of The Ruiners will be joined by Detroit's own The Hi Views, and special guest The Whiskey Daredevils from Cleveland, OH. Tickets are $6. Detroit's own NightSneak Entertainment is hosting their annual "She Luvs The D" event at Club Fantasy this Saturday, with a full line up of amazing Detroit producers and DJs. It's the perfect way to show your support for local talent, with over 14 live sets from local artists: Diesel Punk, Jesse James, Kennedy Jones, Minion, and more! The country-noir folk band The Whiskey Charmers will be celebrating their record release this Saturday at the Loving Touch. Americana band The Blueflowers and psychedelic rock band Nina and the Buffalo Riders will also be taking the stage to support The Whiskey Charmers. One of Detroit's most famous local DJs, DJ TrblMakr, will be taking over Elektricity nightclub alongside Dirty Audio for a night that you'll definitely need your dancing shoes for. Local support will also come from Cameron Oakley, Trill Clinton, and Dopeadellic, who will be set up on the patio all night. Tickets are $10, and this is an 18+ show. Find more information here!

The second annual Hamtramck Music Festival will be taking over the local bars and venues of Hamtramck this weekend for a four-day musical event featuring the rich and vibrant music and arts community within the metro Detroit area. See some of the best Detroit has to offer with live performances from Six and the Sevens, Rogue Satellites, 800beloved, Prude Boys, The Paper Sound, and so many, many more!
