Detroit Cop Thrown From Motorcycle After Hitting Van
DETROIT (WWJ) - A Detroit Police Officer is rushed to an area hospital Friday evening after being thrown from his motorcycle.
This all happening in front of White Muffler and Brake's ... just east of Meijers.
Assistant Manager Deanna Haydous was an eyewitness to the collision.
She says the accident happened when an officer riding on a motorcycle -- ran into the back of a van.
"I heard them mention something about broken leg and broken bones ... he was alert and everything," said Haydous.
Haydous says the driver of that van did stop and does not appear to be at fault.
Police are investigating.
