Crosby Gets First Victory For Tigers In Second Start
Casey Crosby earned his first victory in the majors Thursday in his second start for Detroit. He lasted 5 1/3 innings in Detroit's 7-5 win over Cleveland, allowing five hits, three walks and three runs. "He did fine," manager Jim Leyland said. "He's feeling his way a little bit. He's got 94 (mph on his fastball) but you can tell he doesn't feel comfortable with it, he can't control it. He's just up from Triple-A. Once he gets comfortable (with his control), he'll be throwing that 94-95 real well." Said Crosby: "I was more comfortable this time. I've been here a few more days. My comfort level was definitely up after being here for six days."
