Construction May Slow July 4th Travel
Construction in Oakland County could slow down your summer vacation getaway. Preliminary work gets underway Friday, June 25, on a stretch of I-75 in Oakland County.
There will be a six-mile resurfacing project in northern Oakland County from Squirrel Road in Bloomfield Township to just east of the Palace of Auburn Hills.
Plans include single lane closures middays, and after 7 p.m., with multiple lane closures overnights and weekends. To keep vacation traffic moving, there are no multiple lane closures planned for the southbound side.
The project is scheduled to wrap up in early September.
