Brooklyn Nets Don't Own Nets.com — And It's Up For Bids On Ebay

For a little while now I have been saying that if I'd been born a few years earlier I would be a multimillionaire.

Unfortunately I wasn't, and the dot-com boom missed me by a few years. When I first started using the Internet (on AOL dial-up) I knew it was a big deal and would change the world as we knew it.

Getting to the point: The Brooklyn Nets have a bad situation on their hands. They don't own the domain name "Nets.com," and it's now being auctioned off on eBay.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the highest bid was $31,000, with 34 total bids on the domain name; and when you try to go to Nets.com it redirects you right to the eBay bid page.

The best part is the owner's description under the listing, which reads: "Maybe you just happen to have a basketball team of the same name?"
