DETROIT (CBS Detroit) Was he protesting too much?
Braylon Edwards, the former Michigan wide receiver and current NFL free agent, loudly complained when he was accused of attacking a man outside a Detroit nightclub over the weekend.
And then this came out: Celebrity watchdog site TMZ released a video Tuesday showing Edwards diving for a man's ankles and throwing him against a Detroit police car. See the video HERE.
Before the video was released, Edwards loudly decried any wrongdoing, writing on Twitter, "The reports are blasphemy. Was joking with friends and a guy was filming us. I asked him to delete it, he said no. He wasn't harmed at all."
This is another case of some1 trying to "come up" off a persons status. My name will be cleared of this nonsense soon. Story is ridiculous.

The victim filed a battery complaint and spoke in a second video where he said he saw Edwards roughing up some kids and intervened. He said Edwards grabbed him, and then insisted he delete his phone video.
The man refused.
