Successful restaurateur and celebrity chef Michael Symon opened Roast in Detroit in 2008. Fans call it a "carnivore's dream," but French Fry connoisseurs can relax knowing that there are phenomenal fries here. Rosemary fries in fact, served with their sweet and spicy house ketchup.

Signature Hand-Cut Fries served with a duo of dipping sauces and malt vinegar. The house-made ketchup has a barbecue sauce kick  and the garlic aioli is awesome! By the way, I think aioli is fancy pants mayo. For 4 bucks they're a steal.

Get a nice sized portion of crispy shoestring fries, seasoned with truffle salt and fresh rosemary. Not a bad deal for $5. The owners strive to keep their menu stocked with local and sustainable foods. It's also a beer snob's heaven.

Fresh cut potatoes fried in 100% peanut oil. The Cajun seasoning has a nice kick without leaving a burn. Peanut allergy sufferers be warned. You get free peanuts while you wait or while you dine in. Holy smokes! They used 127,042,520 lbs of potatoes in 2010!
