Visitors to Bunnyville can bring canned/non-perishables for donations, which will be donated to Gleaners, and each guest who brings a food donation will receive an admission price of $9, not including parking. Head over to The Hudson Cafe, on Woodward near Grand River and Gratiot, to grab a breakfast or brunch with the family on Easter day; the restaurant opens at 8 a.m. It serves breakfast all day and has a varied menu which includes everything from sweet breakfasts (pancakes, French toast, waffles, crepes) to more savory dishes (egg specialties, specialty omelettes and even sandwiches for brunch). Try the Very Berry Stuffed French Toast ($10.50) or perhaps the Triple Triple omelette ($12), if you're more of a carnivore, which consists of bacon, ham, sausage and cheddar, swiss and jack cheese. There's also a "Little Friends" menu for kids, which ranges from eggs and toast ($7.50) to chicken fingers and waffle fries ($7.50).

Date: March 19th, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Utica has an Easter egg hunt every year for kids, and this year its event takes place March 19th from 11-1 p.m. Kids aged one year to those in 6th grade (11 or 12 years old) are welcome to participate. Downtown Utica is close to Grant Park, as well, so a nice way to spend the day after or before the Easter egg hunt could be to grab a meal downtown or in the area.

One might not think "maple syrup" when you think of Easter, but the Troy Nature Society hosts an educational maple syrup event for kids most Saturdays in March that could be a fun way to celebrate the day. Attendees will learn about the history, art and science of maple syrup, as well as walk through Troy's 100-acre preserve trails to see how sap becomes syrup. In addition, attendees will see how syrup is made today (modern-day) and be able to taste real maple syrup and maple cream. All children who attend will have the opportunity to do a maple craft, too. Ages 4-12 is $6 to attend; ages 13+ is $8; TNS and THS members are $6; and children under 4 are free when accompanied by an adult. Each event lasts 1.5 hours, as well.
