Best End Of Summer Family Activities In Metro Detroit

In the heat of summer it's always best to be close to water- to stay cool. As summer continues, it's always educational to learn about the outdoors and get familiar with trees, bugs and birds. Oakland County has two great adventures. On August 5th, take off from a 35 foot tower and ride the zip line at Groveland Oaks Campground. The price is $5.00 per ride or $10.00 for the day. On the zip line make sure to wear closed shoes. After riding zip lines, check out Red Oaks Waterpark. Red Oaks Waterpark is open all summer. Spend days floating in the river (ride), sliding down water slides, playing in the wave pool, and many other water activities. The weekend regular rate is $20.
