Grand Traverse Pie has locations across the state, but in the metro area you can find it at this location (Troy), on Zeeb Road in Ann Arbor, and in Plymouth. Its menu is similar to a Panera Bread in that it has sandwiches, soups, and salads, as well as (of course) pie. Its pie varieties range from the standard fruit (apple, cherry) to crumb pies (cherry crumb, with a delicious crumble on top) to more hearty pies like pecan pie and chocolate mousse; they even have meat pies to order as an entree. GT Pie will also be doing free pie slices with any purchase on March 14, so make sure to head in to get your free slice.

Dangerously Delicious Pies, a self-dubbed "rock and roll pie shop," can be found inside the Third Street Bar in Detroit. Rodney Henry and Don "Doop" Duprie started the pie shop as a way to pay the bills - they're both musicians - and they sell both fruit and cream pies as well as savory pies like those filled with meat. There are also some vegetarian-friendly savory pies for purchase. You can find Dangerously Delicious's pies in the back of the Third Street Bar, and its pie flavors vary by day.

Sister Pie opened in early 2015, and it sells pies and cookies, usually "seasonally driven" - you'll find apricot and blueberry pie in the summer here and apple pie in November. All of its pie crusts are handmade using the freshest ingredients, such as French butter and unbleached flour, and its bakers enjoy whipping up unconventional flavor combinations, such as Salted Maple pie, Ginger Peach Biscuit, Grapefruit Black Pepper Meringue, and others. Sister Pie first launched during Thanksgiving 2012, and you can find its cookies and hand pies at other Detroit shops too such as Shinola (Midtown) and Parker Street Market (West Village).
