User Friendly EMR Achieves Certification from ICSA Labs: Berkley-based User Friendly EMR has achieved 2011-12 Ambulatory Complete EHR ONC-ATCB Certification, which designates that the software is capable of supporting providers with Stage 1 meaningful use measures required to qualify for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. User Friendly EMR was certified on May 23 under ICSA Labs' ONC-ATCB Electronic Health Record program and is compliant in accordance with the criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. ICSA Labs, an independent division of Verizon, offers vendor-neutral testing and certification. Its electronic health record certification and testing program provides verification that the certified EHR technology supports meaningful use, as well as helps health care organizations protect sensitive and private patient information. The additional software relied upon to comply with one or more of the certification criteria includes Quest Care360. User Friendly EMR was inspired by a practicing doctor of internal medicine and an IT professional, each with more than 25 years of experience in their respective fields.
