Austin Jackson Is Back
By Ashley Dunkak
The Detroit Tigers have activated center fielder and leadoff hitter Austin Jackson, and he is expected to be back in action Friday. He hit .231 over three games during his rehab stint in triple-A Toledo.
To make room for Jackson, Avisail Garcia, who had batted .288 through 24 games, will be sent down to Toledo.
Jackson has been out of commission since May 12 because of a pulled hamstring. He is hitting .272 with 11 RBI and has an on-base percentage of .333 with the Tigers this season.
