Attempted murder suspect arrested by Canadian authorities at Detroit-Windsor Tunnel
WINDSOR, Ont. (CBS DETROIT) - A suspect wanted in an attempted murder was stopped and arrested at the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel, according to a report from Windsor Police Service.
The shooting, which police described as a targeted incident, happened early morning of Jan. 26 at a house party in the 3800 block of Birch Street in Windsor.
Then about 4 p.m. Wednesday at the international crossing tunnel, Canada Border Services Agency officers arrested a man in connection with the investigation, without incident.
Tyrin John Taylor, age 28, has since been charged with the following:
- Attempted murder.
- Aggravated assault.
- Pointing a firearm.
- Discharging a firearm with the intent to endanger life.
- Intentionally discharging a firearm while being reckless to life.
- Possession of a prohibited firearm
