Actor, Comedian Carl Payne In Town For 2 Performances

DETROIT (WWJ) - He's known for his role in the 90's hit TV series, Martin and this week actor and comedian, Carl Payne is in town starring in a stage play. Payne says he's performed in Detroit many times and is encouraged by all the changes.

"I love the Motor city and I used to be here a lot. Things have changed a lot since I left - so, even though I'm excited to be here and I think part what we are doing here is bringing that 'thing' back to the D,' said Payne.

The play entitled, "The Lies They Told" is written and produced by Detroit native, Je McClain and runs Friday and Saturday at the Millenneum Theatre.
