Missing 4 And 6-Year-Old West Michigan Boys Found Safe

GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WWJ/AP) - Authorities in western Michigan say they've found two young boys safe after they were taken by their father during a supervised visit.

The Ottawa County sheriff's department said the boys — 6-year-old Jack Charlson and 4-year-old Colt Charlson — has last been seen Monday night at a home in Georgetown Township, near Grand Rapids.

Police said they were found during a traffic stop Tuesday morning in the Grand Rapids area.

Authorities said the father, 37-year-old Wade Charlson, from the western Michigan city of Holland, was suspected of taking the boys without permission.

Radio station WGHN reported the case was being handled as a possible parental kidnapping. Charlson does not have legal custody of the boys, according to officials.
