Police Nab Suspected Pizza Robbers
FARMINGTON HILLS (WWJ) - Police tell WWJ Sunday night that a group of suspected armed robbers have been caught in Farmington Hills.
Lt. John Markey of Farmington Hills police tells WWJ that the suspects robbed Little Caesars and Jet's Pizza shops along 12 Mile Road in Southfield and Farmington Hills before they were caught near a Hungry Howies Pizzeria at Nine Mile and Middlebelt Roads.
"We had an armed robbery of a Little Caesars Pizza in our city in Farmington Hills ... earlier in the evening ... while we had officers out investigating - there was a similar incident that occurred in the city of Farmington and then shortly after that another incident in the city of Southfield and then some time after that a second incident in Farmington Hills," said Markey.
Markey says that police found a car described in previous armed robberies in the area and made the arrests.
No one was hurt and it appears the alleged robbers used a plastic gun during the robberies.
