$2,500 Reward Offered For Information About 1996 Slaying In Flint

FLINT (WWJ/AP) - A reward of up to $2,500 is being offered with hopes of helping investigators make an arrest in a decades-old slaying in Flint.

Andy Valdez was killed on January 28, 1996 during a robbery. According to Crime Stoppers, his body was found in a van parked in a wooded area in the 3800 block of North Franklin in Whaley Park. He had been shot multiple times.

Although 20 years have passed since his death, Valdez's family is hoping someone will finally speak up and turn in the killer.

Anyone with information about the case is urged to contact Crime Stoppers' anonymous tip line at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
