2 Dead After Western Michigan Mobile Home Fire
SALEM TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — A 55-year-old woman and 54-year-old man have died after a fire in Allegan County's Salem Township.
Authorities say the blaze was reported about 7:30 a.m. Friday and the single-wide structure was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived.
The victims were pulled from the home and emergency personnel began cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The woman is identified as Brenda Lee Metcalf. The man's name is being withheld until relatives are notified of his death.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Salem Township is south of Grand Rapids.
