2 Arrested In Home Invasion Stabbing Attack That Left 2 Dead
YORK TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WWJ/AP) - Police say they've arrested two suspects in the stabbing deaths of two people during a home invasion in Washtenaw County.
State police say a 25-year-old man from Dundee and a 33-year-old man were arrested Thursday morning. They're being held at the Washtenaw County Jail ahead of an expected arraignment Friday.
Three other people were stabbed in the attack around 6 a.m. Saturday at ahome on Crane Road in York Township, south of Ann Arbor. They remained hospitalized Thursday.
Family friend Sharon Hush has said that a 12-year-old boy, Timber Brown, was killed. Hush says the boy's 26-year-old half brother also died and the boy's mother from Indian River had multiple stab wounds.
Some in the home were visiting to attend a weekend race at Michigan International Speedway, including Northern Michigan resident Nicole Skinner, who was slashed in the hand and neck.
She told WWJ's Ron Dewey she's "lucky even to be alive," and called for a harsh punishment for her attacker.
"...Make him suffer. They should give him the electric chair, I think," Skinner said.
Police — who describe the investigation as "active" — haven't talked about a motive for the killings, but said they don't believe it was a random crime.
