Part of 12 Mile Road closed in response to natural gas leak
A natural gas leak early Tuesday forced the closure of part of 12 Mile Road in Oakland County, Michigan.
The Berkley Police Department reported about 6 a.m. that crews were on scene of 12 Mile Road and Bacon Avenue because of the natural gas leak. The area of 12 Mile Road east of Greenfield Road is closed until further notice.
No evacuations are necessary "at this time," police said.
