Colorado Parks And Wildlife Urging Pet Stores To Remove Betta Buddy Marimo Balls Due To Zebra Mussels
DENVER (CBS4)- Colorado Parks and Wildlife is urging pet stores to remove a product that contains invasive mussels. Zebra mussels have been found in Betta Buddy Marimo Balls.
The moss balls are used to help balance betta fish tanks. Customers who have recently purchased the product should freeze or boil it and then throw it in the trash.
CPW said the mussels could wreak havoc on aquatic ecosystems if they enter our waterways.
