Woman Charged With Forging Divorce Paperwork

DENVER (CBS4)- A Denver woman has been charged with multiple felony counts after she allegedly forced her husband's name on divorce paperwork.

Xochitlt Ramirez has been charged with two counts of attempt to influence a public servant, two counts of forgery and two counts of conspiracy.

The charges allege that in 2012, Ramirez filed a joint petition for the dissolution of marriage without her husband's knowledge or consent and that she forged his signature on the paperwork.

That petition was not granted and the forgery was discovered a few months ago when documents were being researched for a new petition filed in 2014.

A warrant has been filed for Ramirez's arrest. Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call the Denver District Attorney's Office at 720-913-9000.
