Lightning Blamed For Small Fires In Dinosaur National Monument

DINOSAUR, Colo. (CBS4)- Lightning is being blamed for starting a handful of fires near the Dinosaur National Monument.

Firefighters battled five fires on Thursday. Three were extinguished while crews battled the other two.

Those two have burned a combined total of more than 360 acres on a mountain.

A sixth fire was identified near the monument but crews expected to have it out shortly.
