Windy Mountains And Breezy On The Plains

By Dave Aguilera

DENVER (CBS4) - We have a warming trend ramping up for the next few days.

There is a high pressure ridge over California that is slowly trying to work its way west. This will bring in Northwest winds into Sunday along with drier air. For most of the mountains and west this will mean windy but , dry conditions for Sunday.  Gusts may push up to 30 mph from time to time on Sunday in the high country.

For Denver and the eastern plains the ridge moving our way will bring in downslope Chinook winds. Some may get up to around 20 or 25 mph to finish the weekend. This will get highs to pop up into the 50s for the next several days.
