Cooler Weather Wednesday; Cooler Still, Maybe Freezing Drizzle Thursday

By Ed Greene

DENVER (CBS4) - Yet another day - our third in a row - with Denver's high temperature reaching the low 60s, here in late January, where the normal high for this time of year is just 44 degrees. Hope you were able to enjoy it as now a cold front will push into Colorado from the east and bring clouds and our high temperatures back into line for this time of year. Then late Wednesday into Thursday the cooler air mass with moisten up and could produce freezing drizzle. Expect Thursday's high to be only in the mid 30s.

Friday, partly sunny skies return and we get back into the seasonal mid 40s. Good timing for your weekend: look for sunny to partly sunny skies with highs warming into the mid 50s for both Saturday and Sunday. Monday will also be dry and mild with highs in the mid to upper 50s, before cooler weather with a chance for rain or snow arrives Tuesday with a high back in the mid 40s.
