Fair and Warm, But Maybe a Shower on Saturday

By Ed Greene

DENVER (CBS4) - Thursday was a sunny and milder day with Denver's high reaching 69 degrees officially and right at 70 degrees downtown. Tonight, skies stay clear with a low in the low 40s. Normals for this time of year are 58 and 30 degrees. Friday will be another fair and mild day with the high again reaching near 70.

Something we haven't seen in a while: a Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for portions of the southwest mountains around Telluride from Midnight Friday through Noon on Saturday - a short duration, but this system could drop 3 to 6 inches, mainly above 10,000 feet.

Looking ahead for Denver: that system that is brining snow to southwest might also send a stray shower to Denver on Saturday with more cloudiness and a high in the mid 60s. Partly sunny skies return Sunday with a milder high near 70. We'll start next week with mostly sunny skies and a high in the mid 60s on Monday, with little change on Tuesday with a high in the upper 60s.
