Record High Temperatures Could be Threatened over the Next Two Days
By Ed Greene
DENVER (CBS4) - A large ridge of high pressure building over Colorado and the entire Rocky Mountain region produced a fair and mild Wednesday...the high reached 75 degrees and that is 14 degrees above normal for this time of year. Now as the warm southwesterly flow continues to make our temperatures soar well above normal, we may push in to record territory over the next two days: the records for both dates ia 80 degrees: set in 1966 for October 27 and in 1994 on October 28. Right now the forecast is for both days is to be right around the 80 degree mark.
As we begin the weekend, we'll stay dry and be only slightly cooler: look for a high on Saturday in the low 70s and the high on Sunday in the mid to upper 70s...nice and mild for the bronco game! Then for Halloween on Monday, mostly sunny skies with a high right around 70.
