Friends & Family Release Balloons In Memory Of Young Mother Killed In Hit & Run
WESTMINSTER, Colo. (CBS4) - Friends and family gathered on Sunday to honor the memory of a young mother who was killed in a hit-and-run crash.
The plan was to release 33 balloons marking Jessica Holman's age, but so many people showed up that hundreds were sent into the sky.
"Jessica impacted so many people's lives. Honestly as we started putting this together I knew that there was definitely going to be a lot of people. The turnout was a little bit bigger than I thought. It's great that this many people have come together for Jessica," Holman's friend Lindsey Sunday said.
Police arrested the driver, Ignacio Daigle, on Friday, while another suspect was arrested at the scene. They'd been searching for Daigle since he fled the scene on Tuesday.
He's being held on a vehicular homicide charge among others.
