Firefighters Reach 70 Percent Containment On North Hogback Fire

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Firefighters in Jefferson County are getting a better handle on a brush fire that broke out Wednesday and led to an evacuation of horses from an equestrian center.

The North Hogback Fire burn area is located near C-470 and Bowles. It covers about 30 acres, and came near the Ken-Caryl Ranch Equestrian Center.

Horses were evacuated on Wednesday afternoon when the fire was raging, but they were being allowed back on Friday.
