Fire Torches 2 Homes Amid High Winds, 1 Hurt
ARVADA, Colo. (CBS4) - One firefighter suffered minor injuries Monday morning trying to save homes in an Arvada neighborhood.
One home caught fire before daybreak and the fire spread to a second home in the strong winds that are blasting Colorado's Front Range. It happened near 85th and Quaker Circle just south of Welton Reservoir.

Fire crews risked their lives to try to stop the flying embers from the fires from igniting a third or fourth home.
Two people were able to escape safely from the first home that caught fire.
Arvada fire officials said the injured firefighter was taken to the hospital and would be released sometime during the day on Monday.
