1 Dog Saved, 1 Dog Dies In Second Alarm Fire In Aurora

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - Aurora firefighters responded to a second alarm fire on Wednesday on 18th Place near Airport Boulevard and East Colfax Avenue. Firefighters say one dog was saved, but another died of smoke inhalation.

Officials say the fire started in a four-unit residential building. Two of the units were occupied, although it's not clear how many people were inside.

They escaped, and no humans were hurt.

Smoke and flames could be seen coming from the roof. Firefighters are working to control the fire as of 5:20 p.m.
