8th-Grader Is The 'Bee's Knees' In Colorado
DENVER (CBS4) - We have a winner!
Faith Baca has been crowned Colorado's top speller at the state spelling bee.
Baca took home the trophy after correctly spelling the word "rhabdoid." She is an eighth-grader at the Rocky Mountain School of Expeditionary Learning.
Baca beat 270 other students after 21 rounds of intense competition.
Students from fourth to eighth grade competed on Saturday at the University of Denver.
