Teller County Authorities Believe 3 Dogs May Have Been Stolen, Sold
FLORRISANT, Colo. (CBS4) - The Teller County Sheriff's office needs help tracking down a trio of stolen dogs. Deputies believe someone may have stolen them and sold them while pretending to be their owner.
They were last seen in the Druid Hills area in Florrisant on Dec. 27 and their true owner would love to have them back home. Two of the dogs have white fur and the other is white and light brown.
On Wednesday, investigators released additional information about the suspect and the dogs.
The woman who allegedly gave false information about being the owner of the dogs to gain possession of them is described as white, about 5-foot-8, and in her mid 30s. She was wearing orange ear warmers such as a head band, large sunglasses that could be used for off road vehicles, brown coveralls and a camouflage jacket. She was driving a dark gray four-door pickup truck.
The adult dog is a female approximately 6 – 7 years old and last seen wearing a grey collar with a pattern on it. The all white puppy is a male between the age of 3 and 5 months of age. The puppy with the markings on the face is a female litter-mate between the age of 3 and 5 months.
Any who spots the dogs or has information that would help with the investigation is asked to call contact Animal Control at 719-687-9652.
