Denver Police said the following in a statement provided to CBS4:

"The recent spike in gun violence this week is very concerning. A review of the shootings reveals they are unrelated and involve different motives or circumstances. We commend the work of investigators who have made arrests in most of the cases, have recovered firearms, and are making significant progress in the remaining open cases.
The Denver Police Department remains committed to partnering with the community to prevent gun violence and hold accountable those who commit violent crimes. We encourage the community to report suspicious or illegal activities, including arguments and altercations, so that officers can quickly respond and work to address situations before they escalate to violence."

There is no suspect information available in Friday morning's shooting. Anyone who was in the area and may have details is asked to call Crimestoppers at 720-913-7867.
